Safety Town 2017 Registration Now Open

Registration for the 2017 Safety Town program is now open! If you are looking for something fun and educational for your child to do this summer, the Center for Childhood Safety has just the thing for you. Registration is limited; to register visit the Center’s website at www.ccsgb.org.

The Center for Childhood Safety’s Safety Town, sponsored by Prevea Health and HSHS St. Vincent Children’s Hospital, is a week-long summer program for children ages 4 to 9 where they learn and practice safety skills under the guidance of licensed teachers and trained professionals.

The program includes classroom segments as well as hands-on practice of their safety skills on the streets of the child-sized Safety Town. Safety professionals from throughout the community also participate as guest speakers and help teach children. Safety topics covered include bicycle and pedestrian safety, child passenger safety, fire, bus, animal, water safety and more.

Each session meets Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Elmore Elementary - 615 Ethel Ave. in Green Bay. The dates Safety Town will run this summer are:

  • Week one: June 19th – June 23rd

  • Week two: June 26th – June 30th

  • Week three: July 10th – July 14th, and
