The Center for Childhood Safety is seeking volunteers for the upcoming Badger State 10K, which is put on by Run Away Shoes. The race will take place on Saturday, April 1st at Badger State Brewing Company in Green Bay. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Center for Childhood Safety and will support the growth and continuation of their programs offered in the community.
Volunteers are needed for various shifts throughout the morning. Opportunities include handing out race registration packets, filling water cups on the course for runners, and directing runners on the course, which is the area of greatest need. Course volunteers are asked to arrive at their location on the course at 8:45 a.m. and will remain at this location to direct runners and cheer them on as they pass until all runners have gone by. All ages are welcome to volunteer and volunteers stationed on the course are welcome to work at the location they are signed up for in pairs or groups if they prefer.
